Kermess, a New Live Entertainment Venue, Opens October 15 in Chicago’s Loop

The 300-seat venue, built around a century-old Belgian Spiegeltent, debuts with “Premonitions Inc.,” an original circus-based comedy starring Sabrina Von B.

Kermess, a new 300-seat live entertainment venue in Chicago’s Loop Theatre District, will open Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 32 W Randolph Street. Built around a century-old Belgian Spiegeltent, Kermess will debut with the original production “Premonitions Inc.,” starring Sabrina Von B as Miss Fortuna. Tickets are available at kermesschicago.com.

Located above the Cambria Hotel Chicago Loop and next door to the James M. Nederlander Theatre, Kermess is designed as a complete night out rather than a conventional theater visit. In one intimate room, reserved-seat performance unfolds overhead and around the tables while guests can order food and drinks.

“Premonitions Inc.” introduces audiences to a supernatural consulting company that can predict the future but cannot manage the present. Sabrina Von B, known for her viral Evil Queen videos filmed at Disneyland, appears as Miss Fortuna, the company’s Chief Visionary Officer, as aerial performance, acrobatics, burlesque, cabaret, and comedy unfold around her.

The inaugural production is a Circensia original created by Charlie Maréchal, a former Cirque du Soleil Lead Innovation Designer, and Nicolas Allard, a 2020 Gold Medal winner at the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain.

“We didn’t build Kermess as a room where you sit and wait for a show,” said Maréchal. “The century-old Spiegeltent, the drink in your hand, the stranger at the next table, and the artist flying overhead are all part of the same performance. The evening starts when you walk through the door.”

Premonitions Inc. runs about 90 minutes and is 21+. Performances are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through January 15, 2027, at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday shows at 5:30 p.m., plus Thursday, October 15 and Thursday, October 29. Food and beverage are purchased separately except in packages that include them.
